Dr. Barceló is founding partner and CEO of Agrasys, a technology based Agri-Food company. She has extensive research experience in biotechnology and plant genetics, specializing in agricultural biotechnology applied to cereals. She also has successful track record in fund raising for start-ups, contract negotiation and licensing.
Dr. Barceló gained her research experience working for public bodies (universities and research institutes) Spanish and multinational companies. Prior to joining Agrasys, she held positions at CSIC institute for Sustainable Agriculture in Cordoba (Spain), in Max-Planck Institut in Cologne (Germany), Hamburg University (Germany), Rothamsted Experimental Station (UK), and in DuPont (USA and UK). She holds a Ph.D. in genetic research from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
